We use a third- party provider, Shopify as the platform for our e-commerce transactions. If you have said we can, we’ll send you marketing messages by email (or other form) to keep you aware of what we’re up to and to help you see and find our products.

You can stop receiving marketing messages from us at any time by:

    • changing your account settings
    • clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ link in any email
    • contacting us

Once you do this, we will update your profile to ensure that you don’t receive further marketing messages.

Please note that it might take a few days for all our systems to be updated, so you might get messages from us while we process your request.

Stopping marketing messages will not stop service communications (such as order updates).

    4. Seeing adverts for MySleepyTea.com online

We also engage in online advertising, also to keep you aware of what we’re up to and to help you see and find our products.

Like many companies, we target MySleepy Tea banners and ads to you when you are on other websites and apps. We do this using a variety of digital marketing networks and ad exchanges, and we use a range of advertising technologies like web beacons, pixels, ad tags, cookies, and mobile identifiers, as well as specific services offered by some sites and social networks, such as Facebook’s Custom Audience service.

The banners and ads you see will be based on information we may hold about you, or your previous use of MySleepy Tea (for example your MySleepy Tea search history or the content you read on MySleepy Tea) or your previous clicks on MySleepy Tea banners or ads.

    5. Keeping your Information

We’ll only hold on to your information for as long as you are a customer. If you haven’t logged onto our website for three years we will delete your information from our systems. If you no longer wish to be a customer, you can also contact us and request us to delete all the information we have on you.

If reasonably necessary or required to meet legal or regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, or enforce our Terms & Conditions, we may also keep hold of some of your information as required, even after you have closed your account or it is no longer needed to provide the services to you.

If we make significant changes, we will make that clear on the MySleepy Tea website, or by some other means of contact such as e-mail, so that you are able to review the changes before you continue to use MySleepy Tea.

      8. Cookies

We use cookies when you visit our site. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit. They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site. There are four main types of cookies – here’s how and why we use them.

      (1) Site functionality cookies – these cookies allow you to navigate the site and use our features, such as “Add to Cart”.

      (2) Site analytics cookies – these cookies allow us to measure and analyse how our customers use the site, to improve both its functionality and your shopping experience.

      (3) Customer preference cookies – when you are browsing or shopping on MySleepy Tea, these cookies will remember your preferences (like your language or location), so we can make your shopping experience as seamless as possible, and more personal to you.

      (4) Targeting or advertising cookies – these cookies are used to deliver ads relevant to you. They also limit the number of times that you see an ad and help us measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns.

Included in the four main cookie types above are the following, among others:

      • Google Analytics cookies, which collect information about customer use of our website. The cookies collect information in an anonymous form, including where visitors have come to the website from and the pages they visited. To opt out of being tracked by Google Analytics across all websites visit http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
      • Hotjar, which uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on customer behaviour (e.g. how much time is spent on which pages, which links are clicked on, etc.) and devices (in particular device’s IP address, captured and stored only in anonymised form, preferred language settings, etc.). This enables us to better understand our customers’ needs and to optimise this service and experience. Hotjar stores this information in a pseudonymised user profile. Neither Hotjar nor we will ever use this information to identify individual users or to match it with further data on an individual customer. To opt out visit https://www.hotjar.com/legal/compliance/opt-out.
      • Facebook Pixel cookies, which measure ad conversions, optimise and build audiences for advertising campaigns served on Facebook. To opt-out visit https://www.facebook.com/policies/cookies.
